Prof. Swaran Singh is an eminent and established professor of International Politics and Diplomacy at the Centre for International Politics, Organisation and Disarmament, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Prof Singh has been formerly visiting professor/scholar at institutions of global repute like University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada), Australian National University (Canberra), Sciences Po (Bordeaux, France), Uppsala University and Stockholm Internatioal Peace Research Institute (Sweden), University of Peace (Costa Rica), University of Philippines (Manila), University of Hiroshima, University of Kyoto and many other International Universities. Currently Prof Singh is the president of Association of Asia Scholars, Fellow, Canada Global Affairs Institute, Non-Resident Fellow, Centre for China and Globalisation, and Member, Governing Body of Society of Indian Ocean Studies (New Delhi).
