ICSSR-NERC Celebrate Hindi Diwas
The ICSSR-NERC Family observed Hindi Diwas on the 30th of September, 2024 in the august presence of Prof. H.K.Mishra Head of the Dept of Hindi & Director HRDC along with Prof. M.P.Pandey also from the Hindi Dept and the Honorary Director of the Centre, Prof. Bhagirathi Panda. The programme was also attended by the Staff of the NERC along with Research Scholars from the Hindi Department who assisted the Staff of the NERC in the small competition organized for them. The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Panda where he stressed that as Indians we should feel proud to converse in our National language because of the fact that it is now recognised worldwide. He also emphasized that Language acts as a unifying factor which binds people together. Prof. H.K Mishra in his short speech also stressed upon the fact that to learn a language we should do away with hesitations and make a start, which will enable us to be comfortable in communicating with others. He also opined that we should make humble beginnings and start to read and write in the Hindi language which will make us more confident. Prof M.P Pandey in his talk gave a beautiful illustration of how in a land of different languages and dialects, Hindi acts as a string to hold and bind the languages together much like a bouquet of different flowers held together by a string to bring them together irrespective of various differences.
